Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful I bought this without any hope. I have mixed skin, sensitive w/eczema at 32. I bought this product because it was in my price range and promise. It immediately appealed to me in store, color, compact, price, promise, display, etc. I get it home and am equally impressed, the product packaging is solid, nice lid seal for a make up bag but you don't have to wack it off the edge of a side board to release it. It also dispenses a decent amount, but not so much that you're looking for a towel to wipe your fingers on once it's on your face. It smells very nice and applies easily, smooth and soft yet not at all oily. It doesn't effect my eczema, It did as promised, No break outs yet and I admit I was lazy one day last week and slept in my make up..yup in elf make up because after seeing the results of this product I went as bought the line! All in all, as this to your routine! You won't regret it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never again My sister tried it and her face broke out into a rash, I tried it and my skin broke out in a lot of blemishes after only one use, I don’t have acne prone skin and it made me break out after one use

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works but... So this product worked and I loved it until I started having crazy breakouts. This primer pretty much makes your skin look flawless, but I have sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. If you’re the same I recommend the acne or matte primers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really minimizes my pores!! I bought the smaller bottle from a store and the first time I used it, I used three pumps of product and it was too much. The second time I used it, I used two pumps and it worked great!! It minimized the pores on my nose and chin really well and smoothed and hydrated my skin. I looked up how long you're supposed to let it settle before applying makeup and Google said to wait 5 minutes. I suggest waiting longer such as 7 to 10 minutes. It left my skin baby soft and helped my makeup stay on longer than usual. This is an excellent product and I just bought it again in the large bottle. Great work, e.l.f.!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me I bought this and it smelled like some sort of engine cleaner and didn’t do anything for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorites I started using makeup again after doing bare minimum for a long time. I started with the mineral infused primer and tried this one. I love the feel of ELF primers in general on my skin. It helps my makeup stay while protecting and hydrating my skin. The poreless primer does help with the appearance of my larger pores. I won't say that it 100% covers, but compared to other primers ELF does it for me with the appearance. You have to love getting something that works for budget friendly prices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from replaces benefit porefessional I used the benefit porefessional primer for ages but when it ran out i wanted to try something cheaper, i have very large pores so i put this on my nose, chin, sheaks, and forehead and it really blurs my face but does feel mildly slippery when i put it on so i powder those areas just in case.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful This made my skin have an awful rash. I do not even have close to sensitive skin. Took it back to the store.

Can this be used alone, without foundation? Good for dryer skin?

Asked by: CJK963
You may use a primer without a foundation. It is suitable for all skin types. If you skin is particularly dry, you may wish to use the poreless primer in the T-zone and the hydrating or mineral infused primer for the rest of the face.

I have very oily skin. Could this product still work well for me?

Asked by: Benn
I use this on my super oily, acne-prone skin, and it works amazingly! It doesn't make my face more oily and it has a really nice blurring effect. I wore it with my foundation for 5 hours and my foundation did not budge at all. However, since this is a pore filling primer, I only use this on my T-zone and the parts of my cheeks around my nose. On the rest of my face I use the Elf Blemish Control Primer.

Can you use the Hydrating Face Primer and the poreless face primer together?

Asked by: Tonkatoy
You can! I'd recommend using the Hydrating face primer where your skin is dry and using the poreless face primer where your skin has larger pores.

2 times as much product in the same size bottle? ( usually there is a lot of waisted space in the way the bottle is constructed) or bigger bottle. I like the product but do not purchase because the packaging is inefficient for travel.

Asked by: Lena606
It doesn't look like the same size bottle. This is just a bigger bottle for people who want to buy more primer at a time. The smaller bottle is also available, but the price is higher per ounce.

What's the difference between mineral infused primer & pore one? Is the latter only if you have large pores? I don't, but would like to know if ingredients in one vs the other is more beneficial. Thanks.

Asked by: Critical 1
From what I can tell the mineral infused ones have more of a silicone base. The poreless primer helps to SHRINK the appearance of pores while the mineral infused one has other beneficial ingredients for skin care.
