Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprising Bought it a while ago on impulse during Black Friday, was pretty disappointed with the colour payoff and formula upon using the first 2-3 times. Read some reviews and thought scraping the top off each of the shadows would make a difference, but it was minimal. Was disappointed and chucked it away for a while. However, realised i hadn't tried to activate it with water - when using a good amount of water (not a light spritz, but a solid amount - I'd recommend generously dabbing your finger in water/whatever makeup spray/fluid you'd fancy), the colour pay off and blend ability is stunning for the price - the shades layer nicely on top of each other and dry down and stay put, without getting muddy, drying on the lid almost instantly. Very wearable despite the high shimmer/reflex in all of them. Definitely a worthwhile purchase, especially for people like me who love metallic/shimmery shades but hate how gaudy they can look in the daytime.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You have to break into it!! I received the pallet in the mail and when I swatched the shadows out of curiosity and saw no pigment, I was disappointed. I tried again rubbing the pans in circular motions. The pigment is great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not pigmented No pigment at all with the California palette .. wish I read the reviews before I wasted money on it. No pigment what so ever, no matter how hard you press into it most you’ll get is a little shimmer which doesn’t show unless you shine light onto it. Waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bone dry I was so excited to receive this and completely disappointed that when it came. The powder does not apply. I tried using multiple different eyeshadow brushes, I even rubbed my finger over each color and nothing came off. This was a complete waste of money. I am not sure if I just received a bad palette or if they are all dried up and unusable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful, no pigment Came in the post today. Absolutely no pigment with a wet brush or my finger. Only bought this because it was on sale otherwise would never buy at full price. Very disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I got these as a birthday present. I had heard that the baked highlighters were a waste of money, so at first I was worried. But then I swatched them and WOW! The pigment is great, they are very sparkly, and you get a TON of product. Really, really good.

I have tried to apply some of these shades to my lid and it doesn't really seem to appear pigmented. Why is this the case? Do I need to do anything special?

Everyone is saying to wet your brush and/or the shadow itself

I truly love these baked eyeshadows. I can have some shimmer in a professional setting and still look professional. I use this in the Toast daily. But I would like to know, are your products, or any of the ingredients, tested on animals?

Asked by: Jinxie
Please note that none of our products are tested on animals.

People have said to wet the brush to get more pigment out of the baked eye shadows but, at the risk of sounding stupid, what are you supposed to wet your brush with? Water? I don't know what I'm doing

Asked by: ihaveosgd
wet a q-tip with water and rub it on the shadow round then apply
