Shimmer Highlighting Powder,

Additional Information

Shimmer Highlighting Powder is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won’t buy again This isn’t a highlighter. It is a sheer shimmer. When applied correctly and blended it leaves you glittery not highlighted. The shimmer brings out any and all wrinkles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JUST as good as the expensive shimmer highlighters I don't understand why some people have issues with this product. It's smooth (not clumpy like some of you say) and like other highlighters, it's shimmery which I like in moderation! It's easy to apply with my powder brush (not a super fluffy/kabuki one) and lasts a long time. Some people complain that it shows off bumps. Wellllll as you should know, applying shimmer over acne will really show those bumps so applying it wrong is for sure not ELF's fault. Even MAC's shimmery highlighters will do this. This is an A+ highlighter that will compete with the best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good one It doesn’t swatch that good but applies really good !

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I Have Better Options I have better highlighter options in my makeup bag. This is a powdery chalky mess that takes a lot of work to get it to work. I'm still trying to find the best way to use it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crushed highlighter I received the shimmer powder completely crushed and spilled all over the box. Elf has yet to refund me for the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beautiful pan color I have been using starlight glow and would like to purchase rose and pearl glow because the colors look so beautiful there's a lot of product and the compact comes with a mirror but it is a bit powdery/chunky, when applied it emphasizes the slightest texture on the skin definitely one of my favorite elf products and I have about a handful of them only: Mixing Palm Palette, Pointed Powder Brush, their regular $2 eyelash curler, Perfect Finish HD Powder, Artist Powder Puff and now this so 6 items in total and I have been using elf products since 2009.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I waited almost 3 weeks for its arrival only to end up with a busted highlighter which spilled on me. Great.

I am a woman of color.....which highlighter should I get.....Starlight, sun light or the bronzed glow

Asked by: monicapmartin
I'm light(112 matte and poreless) and starlight glow works well for me. It seems to be a very versatile highlighter since I've seen many youtubers of many different skin tones using it. Maybe buy starlight and sun light glow, they're only $6

Which color would be best for pale/fair skin?

Asked by: SallyS
Irish & Scottish, I wear "porcelain" foundations if I'm not tanned. Starlight Glow still gives me a subtle shimmery look without being super obvious, but is still light catching, so for me is perfect. I make sure the powder is on my brush good, and go back over it after applying blush etc. Seems like I layer all "baked" makeups, though. If you're big in to a super highlighted shimmer look like for stage etc, then you might need to use a shade darker foundation or a matte blush to get the intense glam contrast look. I'm not allergic to it, which surprised me because my skin reacts to their powder contour...and most face makeups. :)

Ok so I'm still trying to figure out if this is bronzer/highlighter? Can someone explain please? I'm very fair and I want the lightest shade but don't want it to look to dark on the top of my cheeks

Asked by: rachael12
I'm super pale too so got it in pearl glow! (the lightest shade) works like a charm and doesnt look dark on my skin :)

Is the sunset glow like a pinkish highlight or for medium skin?

Asked by: Valeria96
its like a champagne gold tone, very beautiful on the skin

I was wondering what would be the best for medium skin tone. I know that bronze glow would be too dark but I wasn't sure if sunlight glow would be too frosty.

sunset glow or starlight should be fine :)
