Rated 4 out of 5 by bonbonbonbon from good as a bb sunscreen, not as a primer at first I was disappointed because I wanted a good primer that would blur pores while having zinc based spf. this product is NOT good for that. it just doesn't have the right consistency for a primer. however, I'm giving this good ratings because it's actually wonderful as a tinted sunscreen. I love zinc based sunscreens but they're so chalky and hard to rub in. this one is not. it applies easily like a tinted moisturizer that dries semi-matte. great for casual makeup days where I will be needing good spf. (just note that it's not water resistant, but that's ok by me.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by bannsidhe from C'mon, people: use some common sense. People are all over complaining about the tint. If it's too light, mix with a darker foundation. If it's too dark, mix with a lighter foundation. Don't like the texture? Mix with one of the primers. I use this product every day, mixed with primer. It's perfect. And it costs 1/4 the price of the SPF 20 product I had been using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mlzr11 from Love this This is a great product. It’s a primer - quit complaining about the tint. I use beneath foundation or sometimes mix it in with darker drops and use as foundation. It smells great and has a wonderful texture. Don’t listen to the negative reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrry from Universal?! Come on ELF, you’re better than that. There isn’t a “universal” tint. Others are complaining because it’s too light and I put this on and when direct sunlight hit me I looked orange! Back to the drawing board. Could it really be that difficult to make a sunscreen WITHOUT tint that doesn’t smell repulsive?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Julie C from excellent this primer is not as hydrating and slippery as other e.l.f primers but I won't complain because of 25% zinc oxide and NO CHEMICAL sunscreens. I love the tint and the light coverage is perfect for the day I don't want heavy makeup. My skin is very dry skin so I mix this with some e.l.f. hydrating primer and it turns out exactly what I want! PLEASE e.l.f don't ever discontinue this product but if you change it a little like adding a moisturizingredient in the product to improve its hydrating proprety it would be awesome!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Alex06 from Dark and Sticky The tint is pretty dark for my fair skin and it is thick and sticky so not my favorite elf product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by kchan from do you want to look like the james charles meme? I'm a medium/light skintone latina. I'm not even that dark and this looks like I just smashed my face into a bag of flour. The formula is good, I find that it makes my foundation last longe, isn't shiny/greasy and I like that it has spf and is protecting my face from the skin. I love elf cosmetics but c'mon. Anyone who isn't super pale should just avoid this until they make other shades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dees knees from In love ya'll Wasn't sure what to expect due to mixed reviews but am I ever glad I grabbed it. The light skin tint works for my fair/light skin. This is exactly what I need for light coverage/SPF for these upcoming summer months. I love the texture finish and citrus smell. I don't feel the tint is universal, they need some med-deeper shades for everyone to enjoy.

I am 53 years old, African American, my skin color, is the same as Will Smith wife, Jada Pickett smith. I have very oily skin. Is this primer good for me? Plus I have dark circle under my eye.
If you use it with foundation it might be okay, but there's a beige-y tint to it, so I think it'll leave a cast on your face. I have a light-medium skintone and it evens out my face perfectly, just to give you an idea!

The picture on the side throws me a bit...does it have a tint or is it transparent?
Has a tint. But sheers out when you blend it in. It's a light beige I would say.

Is this primer only available online? I can't seem to find in at any stores in my area. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
It's an online exclusive like most of the Beauty Shield line, from what I can tell. So for now, it won't be in any stores.

What is the fragrance in this product?
Smells citrus to me.

Is this primer tinted or does it come off clear on the skin?
It has some color. I am very light and it sheered out on me. I did put my foundation over it and it was fine. It is a light beige color but mostly goes away. Just evens out skin.

Since this is a primer, is it pretty dry on the skin? Also since it has zinc oxide, does it have a whitish cast?
Yes and yes. I actually own this and I'm about a Mac NC 35-40. This leaves a horrible white cast and is way too dry for my dry skin.

When is this ever going to be available again? I've been waiting at least two months to be notified of the product being back in stock and nothing, sorry Elf but I'm going to have to go with another product since I'm out almost out of my other primer.
