Rated 5 out of 5 by from I could not wait to share my new beauty find! I could not wait to share my new beauty find! I went to facebook and I shared the news of finding this primer with my melasma support group. I was so excited that I sounded like a salesperson. Fist of all, I regularly do not use primer, but I am always in the market for some good SPF; I pay 39 dollars a month for a similar item that clames to have full coverage, but I do not care about that since all I want is spf that does not make my skin dry. This is it! I use over the elf spf 50 moisturizer, and I aply an spf 50 mineral powder foundation from another manufactorer on top of it, of which I use a darker color to newtralize this primer whitish color. Elf is sving me lots of money a year. Please do not discontinue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I HAD to review this! I'd been after the dermalogica primer with tint and SPF but at almost £50 for a tiny tube I just couldn't justify. I eventually hunted down this great alternative. I wanted a good but light coverage with a decent level of SPF for when I go to Dubai next month and this is perfect. I've been testing it out under my makeup to see how I get on with it and it's fab. really good as a base or alone if you want a more natural look. I have such an oily t-zone so my makeup likes to make a bid for freedom but this stops that. And all for less than £20. I can't reccomend it enough!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better coverage then expected Pros: I bought this Primer because it's the highest drugstore spf that I can find and its a physical not chemical formula. Normally I would apply bb cream or foundation over top but its light tinted coverage is better then expected so now I'll just wear it on its own or sometimes with some setting powder. I have light - medium skin and have noticed that it makes my face seem slightly brighter/paler which I actually like. Cons: Unfortunetly although the product states that it's a universal tint, I don't know how well it would blend in for someone with a darker skin tone

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not good. Bought this a month ago and I love how smooth it makes my skin feel and look but it’s too pale. Not sure why the color comes out tan but when I put it on it makes me look like a porcelain. But overall it’s good on oily skin and it makes my make up stay on for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use as an under eye concealer/primer! I have texture, redness, and noticable pores. (I do not wear foundation but I like primers) This did not work for me as a all over the face thing because it enhanced that. But somehow as I was going to give up on this product I just used it on my eyes..... and it works! Canceled my purple under tones. Depending on your preference you can us this as an eye primer, concealer, or just eye brightener. I may just start wearing this instead of concealer under my eyes now

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Excited About the SPF!!! I recently purchased this product and have been using it for about a week. I've been concerned about lower priced products not containing sunscreen, so I was very exited to try this, and I'm so glad I did! It have a firming quality along with the sunscreen, so I don't have to use so many products!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wish I can get a refund because its a waste I bought this recently because I wanted light coverage and protection for all my ski, it broke me out very badly.... and caked up on dry spots. This is not suitable for acne prone/sensitive skin. I wish I can return it but I already used a couple days worth of product to try it out which really disappoints me because I saved up to buy this along with their other elf products like the coconut mist and primers. and it totally gives off an ashy look if you aren't pale which is really a rip off because it claims it is suitable for a diverse range of skin tones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO goooood! I bought this a few days ago and it’s great! The smell is so so pleasant, and the tint works fine for me. It evens out skin tone, and for someone like me with good skin, it’s enough for a “foundation” or even a “no makeup makeup look”. The tint is, I think, universal; it’s whiter on my skin but as the product sinks in, it gets sheeted. The SPF is a super duper great feature as well. I will say, the only surprise I had with this primer is the fact that it’s quite matte and the texture is thick and pasty — not a bad thing! Please continue making this! This is a great product!

Can this be used around the eyes? Does it burn?? I'm looking for a spa 50 for my eye area specifically.

Asked by: Bambino005
I love this for a concealer/primer/eye and under eye brightener. I cancels out my purple undertones perfectly that's the only place I use it for. I does not burn or irritate my eyelid or under eyes

Can I use my anti aging moisturizer under Beauty Shield Primer

Asked by: Rocky bb
Yes you can try it, moisturizer should be underneath a primer. If it peels or any inconveniences happen, I say just try a different moisturizer underneath it. I wear a cetaphile one and it does fine

I am 53 years old, African American, my skin color, is the same as Will Smith wife, Jada Pickett smith. I have very oily skin. Is this primer good for me? Plus I have dark circle under my eye.

Asked by: BrownBooty
If you use it with foundation it might be okay, but there's a beige-y tint to it, so I think it'll leave a cast on your face. I have a light-medium skintone and it evens out my face perfectly, just to give you an idea!

The picture on the side throws me a bit...does it have a tint or is it transparent?

Asked by: ellam
Has a tint. But sheers out when you blend it in. It's a light beige I would say.

Is this primer only available online? I can't seem to find in at any stores in my area. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Asked by: dogmum
It's an online exclusive like most of the Beauty Shield line, from what I can tell. So for now, it won't be in any stores.

Is this primer tinted or does it come off clear on the skin?

Asked by: kathrose
It has some color. I am very light and it sheered out on me. I did put my foundation over it and it was fine. It is a light beige color but mostly goes away. Just evens out skin.
