Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great tint and not greasy The tint color is great and despite the runny-ness of the product it doesn't feel greasy. That being said I was surprised how runny the moisturizer was. It almost seemed like it was a really thin liquid foundation. While the product didn't feel greasy I noticed that it dried out my skin if I used it every day. So now I only use it every couple days. I love the product if it didn't dry out my skin, but maybe that's just me since I have combination type skin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wanted to love this I wanted to love this product but it is just too drying for my skin. I had my teenage daughter and twenty year old daughter try it on and it was drying on their younger skin too. I can wear it if I use the Prep and Hydrate balm and then mix in Booster Drops for more moisture. The Stay Out and Play SPF Moisturizer is more comfortable and I recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works in hot weather while sweating. No eye sting! I do photography in my spare time, and I've been using this moisturizer casually with fine results. To really put it to the test I recently wore it over a weekend when I was outside photographing parkour in 80-degree weather for 8-hour stretches. Although I was on the move for both days, sweating and occasionally wiping sweat off my face, I didn't get a trace of sunburn on my face where I wore it. And better yet, it never stung if sweat got in my eyes. This stuff is incredible. My only complaint would be that I can't understand it being a universal tint when used on its own. I'm a light-medium skin tone guy and this shows up slightly (*slightly*) ashy on me -- I can't imagine it would work for medium to deep skin tones unless foundation were put on over it. But after trying more expensive (and weaker) SPF moisturizers that sting my eyes when I sweat, this one doesn't sting and works well. I love it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not nearly as good as I'd hoped! I was so excited to finally be able to try this natural-ish product. (It's been out of stock for months and my Dermatologist said not to leave the house without spf 30 on.) When I finally received it, the bottle had a new ingredient label stuck over the old one. It looks like the sunscreen active ingredient was changed. I tried it for about a week (switching from my Aveeno Naturals, which makes my burn a bit due to the fragrance). I'm sad to say that I prefer the Aveeno. This daily moisturizer feels heavy, has a gritty texture, and the tint in the moisturizer makes it harder to rub in. I've gone back to it a few times, hoping that I just needed to get used to the different texture, but I don't love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tint for my skin! I've been wearing this for over a year now, and I have some amazingly oily skin, so I never manage to look 'dewy', only greasy. But this product achieves a dewy look for me and I'm very pleased. The tint disappears into my skin beautifully, the finish is amazing and it keeps me looking amazing for at least six hours -- which is a good three hours longer than anything else ever has. The SPF is brilliant as well; I'm very pale and I don't burn on my infrequent times out in the sun. I am a huge fan and contemplating buying bottle #3. I have attached a photo wearing nothing on my skin but this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great moisturizer with spf This is an amazing product, but it does take a little effort to make it work (hence 4 not 5 stars). After my skincare has absorbed into my skin in the morning, I lightly work this into the skin. You can also use a sponge if you're short on time. It leaves a dewy glow that I love. This is for my no makeup makeup days. Love!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed I bought this because I thought it would be a great moisturizer but it always leaves my skin super dry.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy again Similar review as the related primer in this series. Rather than being too thick though I found the moisturizer much too watery / runny. As with the primer once it was on it felt greasy and oily on my face for the whole day. Wouldn't buy again or recommend.

Has anyone with pale skin used this? I'm vampire pale in the winter, and not quite vampire pale in the summer, and the tint in the picture looks sooooo dang dark! I really wish this product had no tint because I'd love a moisturizer with SPF 50 :(

Asked by: beepboop
I'm basically glow in the dark I'm so pale. I put paper to shame. I was skeptical too but it blends very well. I did find it slightly on the warmer side but the warmth doesn't show through my foundation at all.

How often will I have to apply this throughout the day to keep my skin protected?

Asked by: RayrayAna
For full protection you should reapply after every 2 hours of sun exposure, or more often if you're sweating/working out. If you're mostly outside to commute to and from work/school you should be fine applying 1 time for the day, especially if you go home in the evening.

Why oh why can this and the spf 50 moisturizer not be FRAGRANCE-FREE? Don't need scent in skin care whatsoever--would have been a good product without, I'm also not sure carrot seed oil is good for skin

Asked by: Carlcarl
Carrot seed oil is indeed good for your skin. It contains carotene and vitamin A and it is very good for healthy skin, hair, gums and teeth, and of course your eyes.

Does this have Avobenzone in it? I'm allergic and I have purchased Elf products before where it doesn't show on the ingredients list but on the packaging it did.

Is the sun screen ingredients in this &the other products in this new line cheical sun screen or physical only sun screen?(titainium dioxide & zinc oxide). Thank you!

Asked by: Ninjajill
It has chemical SPF too, eg, oxybenzone (look at the active ingredients list). The primer seems to have only physical SPF. Hope this helps.

Hi! Is this colored like a foundation? The picture shown looks dark and I'm afraid it won't match my skin. Thanks!

Asked by: PellMellxx
This product has a slight tint, but blends to your skin tone if blended well.

I have sensitive skin, and have chemical sensitivities is this product highly scented?

Asked by: rmissbrooks
Not really. It has a mild pleasent smell but not enough to irritate sensitive skin. I know personally as  I have very sensitive skin. It's actually very nice.
