Beauty Shield Massaging Overnight Recovery Cream is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it! It's been about 3 weeks so far that I've used this product. I use it every night after washing my face using an exfoliator brush (this helps the moisturizer absorb into the skin) and I am absolutely in love with it! I have sensitive & combination/mostly oily skin and this doesn't clog my pores AT ALL like some products do. It does have a citrus scent so if you are allergic or sensitive to smells this isn't for you. Ok, now the balls are a bit unnecessary. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, they are hard to clean and are just kind of in the way. But what's more important is the product and it's great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first night cream and it's a hit! I wanted to improve my skincare routine and after reading the reviews I decided to try some products from the e.l.f. skincare lines. I was initially a bit nervous since my skin can be pretty sensitive, but this night cream was a great surprise! The massaging apparatus is a bit awkward, but the metal beads have a cooling a effect that feels very relaxing. I also love the scent. Since I wasn't used to night creams I thought it was a bit thick and greasy at first, but now I enjoy the rich creamy feeling. And, of course, my skin looks great in the morning.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Packaging I bought this cream because I loved the idea of massaging my face at night. However, the metal beads get full of moisturizer and even though I would wipe them clean after every use, it takes a while and I never feel like its fully clean. It doesn't seem super sanitary to me. It's unfortunate because it seems like its full of great ingredients. I would LOVE it if they put this cream in different packaging. Just a normal tube is fine! I'm still using the cream until its all done because as a night cream I think its great but won't be repurchasing because of this packaging. I still love elf though! Have for years, and I will always support this brand! There are tons of other products that I use daily and will continue to repurchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the cream! Don't love the roller. Finally found my new night cream! Love the consistency, feel, and scent of the gel cream itself. Skin feels great in the morning. Wish it came in a non-roller tube, though. The massaging effect is okay on a very small portion of my face (my cheeks) but is uncomfortable on the more bony parts of my face (so, everywhere else). I end up just dispensing it onto my fingertips and applying it that way instead of using the roller beads. So, 5 stars for the product, minus 1 star for the well-intentioned but wasted application system. Sell it in a regular tube/bottle/jar and it's 5 stars across the board! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smells lovely, feels great on skin I love the consistency and scent to this Beauty Shield. My only complaint is that I couldn't figure out the packaging/ cap and attempting to open it I broke the fancy top!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the smell, nice citrus scent and the roller balls feel nice on my skin, face felt softer the next morning, so far I really like it. Difficult to use the first time but you get used to it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hives I have really sensitive skin, but I took a chance on this because of the reviews. Woke up in the middle of the night with hives all around my chin and cheeks. Unfortunately, this just did not work for my skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for super dry skin I have extremely, chronically dry, sensitive skin and this has become my new favorite night cream. I use it from under eye to neck, applied liberally, and massaged in well. My skin is soft and velvety smooth through to morning. I will definitely order again.

Hello, Can you tell me the concentration of the Ascorbic acid in this product, please? Thank you, Betsy

Asked by: BetsyPratt
I have no way of knowing the concentration (by %) of Vitamin C inbthis cream but I can tell you that there are two stable forms of it in this cream and one form is not too far down from the backbone ingredients for the cream. I would say the amount is pretty decent for a cream. Not a really high % like there might be in a Vitamin C serum, but a decent amount for a moisturizer. I hope that helps :)

It is good for acne?

Asked by: Kimberly moreno
It shouldn't aggravate acne, inless you are very, very sensitive. I ran all these ingredients into a comedeogenic rating website and a few ingredients came back as only being mildly comedogenic. There is nicotinamide in this cream, which is also called niacinamide, and that is well known to be very good for acne. It fights inflammation and congestion and helps regulate sebum. Also, licorice root also fights inflammation so i think if you used it where you need moisture and lightly everywhere else, you should be fine. Personally, my skin has cleared up when I started oil cleansing and kept my skin well hydrated and used a niacinamide serum. I hope this helps :)

Hi, are there any chemical ingredients in this product which will be absorbed into the skin? I'm sensitive\reactive to most chemical ingredients & can only use physical only sunscreen for example. If yes, pls make without.
