Rated 1 out of 5 by from Formula separated I really wanted to like this highlighter, but it was all seperated and weird. It's like half (mostly) clear water and half a thick, oily substance with the in it. If I want to use it at all, I have to shake it up, squeeze it out until I get some of the oily stuff to come out and then either just use the oily stuff as is, or try to kinda mix together the oil and water on my hand, then use it, but it inevitably comes out patchy. The bright, cool, intense highlighter seemed like a lot of fun to play play with, like maybe as an inner eye pop, a liner, or for an intensely highlighted look, but unfortunately I could barely use it. I thought at first that I had gotten an old one or something, but after reading the reviews, it seems I'm not the only one to have this problem. I haven't tried mixing it with some other medium, like a moisturizer, to try and "split the difference" between the oil and water, but I'm not sure what to use that both would be miscible in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Weird texture The product comes out super liquidy and at first I couldn't figure out if I was getting any of the actual highlighter out or just the mixing medium. Turns out that is the actual texture and it's just like a thick glitter paste mixed with some water? I don't know it looked kind of separated to me and I had to mix it on the back of my hand to get anything to look mildly like a cohesive highlight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is just glitter This is literally just liquid glitter, its so intense there is nothing natural about it. If you're looking for an extreme glitter look then this is perfect! If you want something kind of natural that gives you a highlight without big sparkles this is not for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Watery, Can't Work With This was very messy and watery and literally couldn't apply in the garbage. You need to use a lot and a silver ish tone will appear and it does work but it's not worth the time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product I bought the moonbeam color hoping to add a bit of shimmer to under my eye makeup. It is SO runny and wattery, it leaks all over. Not sure what kind of paint E.L.F. thinks is the consistency of water, but I was highly disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It smells like the LA greyhound bus. I brought moonbeam and gold star. Gold star was difficult to apply because the oil and product separated ( you cannot shake it). Moonbeam was beautiful, but both products smell like the Greyhound buses ( cheap sweet cleaning products). I was so weird. I have my boyfriend smell it to. He have also said it smelled like the Greyhound bus.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting I got this in "Pink Lady" in an order a while back as a free reward. The formula is simultaneously really sticky AND really watery, so I felt a bit gross and also like my highlighter was coming off my face--it didn't seem to stay on my cheekbone. I ended up throwing it out and won't repurchase. I will say, however, that its best quality is that it *doesn't* smell bad like so many sticky products I've purchased from ELF.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shimmering Can at times be a bit aggressive, but it does offer a tasteful shine! I especially like the way it looks on the tip of my nose

The shimmering facial whip is a little too tacky IMO. How does this compare?

Asked by: FLUFFY CAT
I purchased this item...I love it...You only need a little bit and I put it on over foundation. It is not tacky and I get lots of compliments.
