Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good at blending I bought this a couple weeks ago, and it’s pretty good. I think it blends well, the texture is kinda weird to me, but it’s pretty cheap so maybe that’s why.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BB dupe Its soft, easy to clean, and huge as it gets the job done quickly. I use the flat side for setting my under eyes with powder.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great texture for blending cream/liquid products My ShopMissA Pawpaw Sponge had gotten worn out so I decided to see if this one was any good, and it is nice! It swells up a lot when dampened, and it's not quite as soft and absorbent as some other sponges I've tried, so I've been noticing it blends my higher pigment concealers a lot better without turning them patchy. However, the shape is a bit funky. The tapered end is a bit fat, especially once the sponge is expanded, which makes it hard to get a precise blend into the inner corner of my eye. In fact the whole sponge is a bit too round and large, so while it blends really well, it is a bit imprecise and clumsy at times. Also, I haven't personally found a lot of use for the beveled edge, as I don't set my cream products with powder and a flat edge is not great for diffusing cream products. The edge can be used under the outer parts of my eyes, but I find that a rounded tip still is better at pressing product in and blending it with no harsh edges. That being said, it does a wonderful job blending my concealer and cream products, probably better than my Pawpaw sponge. I wish I could have the Pawpaw size and shape with Elf's style of foam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price I used to use the orange real techniques sponge but thus one is so much better and a few dollars cheaper too. Very soft and blends effortlessly.

So, I'm getting two things, but for real - what does this sponge feel like...is it soft or hard?

Asked by: izzzy
I’ve used it last two nights for foundation. I dampened it then applied foundation... I’ll try it again later as a dry sponge and compare it but when wet I looked like I had a severe case of flaky skin after applying the setting powder over foundation...so again I’ll do this application but I’ll use dry sponge and see what happened.

how is it compared to the beauty blender, real techniques sponge, and the other various elf sponges?

Asked by: loveletter
It’s actually really different from both of them. It has something going on with it that when you say go to squeeze the water out it stays in a ball like you squeezed it and takes a second to go back to its shape. Despise that it blends effortlessly and i do recommend.

What is materials is this sponge made of? Does it contain Black Rubber Compound? Does it contain the following: Paraphenylenediamine, Nickel Sulfate, Gold Sodium Thiosulfate, Benzonic Acid & Benzoates, & Compositae Mix? I have allergies to these items.
