Rated 5 out of 5 by from love this! I've been using this for a few years. I cannot remember what made me pick it up, but this is definitely something I buy over and over and will continue to do so. Bakes SO WELL!! Really keeps the under eyes from creasing, sets the skin well. Works great with dewy setting mist by elf as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good correction! This provides good correction for dark circles and redness. I would give it 5 stars but it tends to finish a little too matte for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful if you have medium, olive dark skin I wear a MAC NC45 to give you an idea of my colouring not fair but certainly not at the darkest end of the foundation spectrum. I love Ben NYE Banana powder but I wanted a purse friendly alternative this is deff not it. I was shocked when I attempted to bake at how light it is, it’s not even a yellow corrective. I use MAC translucent setting powder which is white and even that is way better than this. I ended up having to apply a skin coloured powder on top as it looked absolutely ridiculous. Instead of brighter eyes I just looked like I had used the wrong shade of powder and I applied a fairly light amount, not the You Tube style baking that’s popular. This is deff not a product for POC shame on you Elf. You need to diversify your powders to have a range of colour correcting powders. I suggest you look at Revolution for inspiration Deep Banana Powfer, Terrecota and Peach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I love this powder. If you follow the directions and close the holes after you pour in the lid it is very clean. I prefer to use a brush to the puff that is provided. I love how light it is and how my skin feels wearing it. I haven't had any issues with flashback either, which I was worried about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Leaves the skin smooth and flawless, I am a Mua and I have never had a problem with flashback as people are saying they have but for me that isn’t the case! Of course it’s going to be a little messy it’s a loose powder they are all the same! I love this product and will continue to use it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drab I love e.l.f products, but this one is a miss for me. I happen to look into a mirror while out and about and was horrified. I looked drab, dried out, zombie-like (no offense to zombies). With it being translucent I assumed it was okay to use on my deeper skin tone, that was not my case. I wasted my money as I'll not use the High Definition Powder again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish! Last order I got the pressed version with my points. This time I bought the loose version (before the previous order had arrived) to compare. Got a great sale, but even then, it's a good deal. There is not really any noticeable difference between the pressed and loose versions other than the obvious quality differences between the two forms. Both are really silky smooth and super finely milled. Both smooth out my imperfections and really give that HD look. As I said in my review for the pressed powder, I'll use this one for my regular everyday finish, and toss the pressed one into my bag for touch-ups, just because I prefer the loose formula. Would definitely repurchase.

I am a medium brown mixed race lady, and I adore silica powders for their blurring and matifying properties. I do press into the t zone with my beauty blender - but lightly! Then dust around the rest of my face with a brush. Don't be heavy handed, a light dusting is all you need believe me. I use then use a real techniques setting brush to dust the powder under my eyes, around my nose crevices and on my oily eyelids too. This gets rid of any shine, but leaves the skin so smooth. I do my eyebrows, eyeshadow/liner afterwards, and this powder helps them to stay put. I find as the oils come through that they look natural, no tinted powder sitting in pores, no oxidisation and no changing foundation/concealer colour at all.

Say I put on BB cream and I look extra oily. Can using this product help get rid of the oily looking skin?

I have used this product for quite some time. I like the feel of my face and that it seems to absorb oil.  The problem is the glitter in the product. I’m not 15 and I don’t want the glitter. The sheer is so white that I don’t look healthy.

Asked by: Mrs Geise
We suggest that you apply this sparingly and blend very well in a circular motion for all shades, and to avoid flashback (white), if you choose the Sheer shade.

When I use this powder i see a white cast on my face. Can ypu tell me how to eliminate this ? I try to use it as sparingly as I can.

What is the recommended way of setting the powder? I heard there's flashback but if you use it right there will not be any, so how would you apply this properly?

Asked by: saipy20
We suggest that you apply sparingly in a circular motion with a powder or kabuki brush and blend well.

Does this powder cause flashback? I've been looking for an affordable powder that doesn't and I'm hoping this is the one.

Asked by: mads060
When applied correctly and blended, this will not cause flashback.

When I use this product it flakes. I've used it over foundation and on bare skin, I applied it with the buff that comes with it, with a kabuki brush and I'm stunned at all the peeling and flakes I have to brush off my face. What's going on?

Asked by: aednyc
If you are using foundation or mousterizer that is oil based that would cause it to ball up.  Or if you use a setting spray before putting it on
