Wouldn't buy again
Similar review as the related primer in this series. Rather than being too thick though I found the moisturizer much too watery / runny. As with the primer once it was on it felt greasy and oily on my face for the whole day. Wouldn't buy again or recommend.

Grey cast and kinda of dry
For reference, i use shades Caramel in both the old Flawless Finish Foundation and the Acne one, and Almond in the Tinted Moisturizer. This moisturiser gives me a very noticeable grey cast. I really don't like the texture of it and don't think it is "tinted" necessarily to blend into one's skin tone. It is also kind of drying because of the tinted nature, i believe, and i have dry skin. It is certainly not heavy like other creams or SPFs, but i can feel it because of the texture. It has lasted me a long time, and i use it almost every day, but do i think it's worth 12$? No, maybe 8$.

Feels dirty
I dont wear too much face makeup as it is so maybe this isnt a fair review. I wish it didnt have the tint in it at all. I was really unhappy how it felt on my face, it wasn't smooth, it was sticky and just felt super cakey even though my bottle was super liquidy. The color itself wasn't that bad but just didn't give me the finish I like!

Not a universal tint
I just got this yesterday. Tried it on today and had to wash my face and neck because it left my skin looking whitish-grey. Waste of my money on this one and I absolutely love all elf products but this one needs to turn clear on the skin. It sucks.

Perfect for all skin types high quality
I purchased one. Now I'm up to 8. This product is simply amazing. Universal tint and spf are added benefits.

Terrible!!!!
I usually love Elf skin products, but this is by far the worst product from this company that I have ever tried. The “universal” tint is not universal at all and leaves a white cast on my skin and does not moisturize at all. It’s just like rubbing a bunch of thick sunblock on your face. Elf needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Bad Packaging
I actually really like this product and have been using it (when I can) for a couple weeks, my issue is that the pump does not work and you can't take off the top. It takes 5 minutes just to get enough product out and you have to keep pressing the top and it spray fine drops everywhere.

I swear by this stuff!
I bought this with little expectation. I usually use a really price daily sunscreen moisturizer but I figured that this might be night to try (because of the tint) on days I don’t want to wear foundation - errands days and maybe when a friend comes to the house. I was HIGHLY skeptical of its claim to be “universally” tinted, as I am pretty fair in the winter and spring, I thought it was going to be waaaay too orange. After using it a few times I found myself going back to it more than the pricey stuff I use. It’s a little oily at first but most sunscreen products are to start. After about 5 minutes it absorbs and sets. The color is just enough to even out red spots on my face but not dark enough to show up orange or not blend into my neck line. I wore this lotion to go shopping at an all day flea market the other day. The spf held up and managed to get sunburned every where EXCEPT where I had applied this to my face and neck. The smell is pretty awesome. It’s clean and kind of citrus. I don’t usually wear any foundation over it because I prefer a lighter coverage anyway but one time I used the Elf serum foundation over it. I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror a little while later while I was out shopping with my BF and I had to turn to him to say, “Oh my god my skin looks amazing!” I have combination skin with severe occasional breakouts, but it seems to be fine with my skin, with or without a break out. I do not believe this has ever caused a breakout.
So my bottom line: I love it. I will continue to buy this until it’s discontinued.

Has anyone with pale skin used this? I'm vampire pale in the winter, and not quite vampire pale in the summer, and the tint in the picture looks sooooo dang dark! I really wish this product had no tint because I'd love a moisturizer with SPF 50 :(
I'm basically glow in the dark I'm so pale. I put paper to shame. I was skeptical too but it blends very well. I did find it slightly on the warmer side but the warmth doesn't show through my foundation at all.

How often will I have to apply this throughout the day to keep my skin protected?
For full protection you should reapply after every 2 hours of sun exposure, or more often if you're sweating/working out. If you're mostly outside to commute to and from work/school you should be fine applying 1 time for the day, especially if you go home in the evening.

Why oh why can this and the spf 50 moisturizer not be FRAGRANCE-FREE? Don't need scent in skin care whatsoever--would have been a good product without, I'm also not sure carrot seed oil is good for skin
Carrot seed oil is indeed good for your skin. It contains carotene and vitamin A and it is very good for healthy skin, hair, gums and teeth, and of course your eyes.

Does this have Avobenzone in it? I'm allergic and I have purchased Elf products before where it doesn't show on the ingredients list but on the packaging it did.
What is the size (in ounces) of this product?

Is the sun screen ingredients in this &the other products in this new line cheical sun screen or physical only sun screen?(titainium dioxide & zinc oxide). Thank you!
It has chemical SPF too, eg, oxybenzone (look at the active ingredients list). The primer seems to have only physical SPF. Hope this helps.

Hi! Is this colored like a foundation? The picture shown looks dark and I'm afraid it won't match my skin. Thanks!
This product has a slight tint, but blends to your skin tone if blended well.

I have sensitive skin, and have chemical sensitivities is this product highly scented?
Not really.
It has a mild pleasent smell but not enough to irritate sensitive skin. I know personally as I have very sensitive skin. It's actually very nice.

How does this compare to the Daily Hydration Moisturizer SPF 15, especially in texture/consistency?
The Daily Hydration Moisturizer with SPF 15 is oily and makes my skin really shiny. It also smells like sunscreen. I prefer the regular Daily Hydration Moisturizer without the SPF.
This product on the other hand has a similar texture/consistency to the elf Beautifully Bare foundation serum, but absorbs much better. This does not smell like sunscreen and isn't oily.
